Larry Ngan

Larry Ngan - Chair

Born in Hong Kong, Larry studied History (Bachelor and Masters) at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He moved to the UK in 2004. Since settling in the UK, Larry works in the financial sector and specialised in insurance markets in the APAC region.

Larry joined the Liberal Democrats in 2019 after the Brexit referendum. He stood in both the 2018 and 2019 London local elections.

Larry is a frequent contributor to Interlib, the magazine for the Liberal International (British Group). He also publishes articles and book reviews on China and Hong Kong affairs.

Nicholas Chan

Nicholas Chan: Vice-Chair

Growing up in Singapore with a HK heritage, Nicholas trained in Psychology and Law in Australia and the UK. Previously, Nicholas practices as a psychologist giving expert evidence, policies on rehabilitation system and researching on anti-human trafficking. He is now training in law focusing on Criminal Law and social justice.

Nicholas joined the party in 2019 and is active in the Medway Liberal Democrats. He writes on local issues in the local papers on social housing advocacy, concerns on quality of living and human rights.
